We offer our wet foodin tin cans. We opted for this because their magnetic properties make them easy to recycle . This means they can be filtered out of the waste by the machines and fed into the recycling cycle. Theweightof the tin can is also impressive: compared to glass, it is significantly lighter and therefore produces less CO2 during transportation. Another argument against glass is the quartz sand required, as it is mined in a way that has a major impact on nature. It is important that you dispose of the empty tin can in the yellow binafter use to make recycling easier.

As an absolute innovation, we recently added another ADULT recipe in the Tetra Pak to our range. The Tetra Pak saves 91% CO2 compared to conventional packaging. This is mainly due to its practical shape and low weight. As a result, the Tetra Pak can be transported very efficiently . In addition, the Tetra Pak consists of 70% renewable raw materials (FSC-certified) and can be over 75% recycled, provided it is disposed of in the yellow bin . When folded up, the empty Tetra Pak takes up practically no space. This makes the Tetra Pak 5 times more environmentally friendly than tinplate and glass.

The Tetra Pak not only ensures a green paw print, it is also very easy to handle: it is easy to open and close again without a lid or similar. In addition, there is virtually no risk of injury.

We are very proud that we have found a way to package ourdry food in a paper bag. The high fat content presented us with a challenge. Four layers of paper are necessary to ensure the high quality of our food and prevent it from becoming greasy. When the bag is empty, you can dispose of it in the paper bin.

We pack our nowsnacks in a plastic bag. For our snacks, it was essential to choose packaging that is airtight. This should guarantee a longer shelf life and protect them from drying out. We deliberately opted for pure plastic packaging. Many manufacturers even use composite packaging for snacks, which initially gives the impression of being more sustainable. However, due to the combination of several materials, they are difficult or impossible to recycle. So if you dispose of our empty snack packaging in the yellow garbage can, it is 100% recyclable! Incidentally, the use of recycled plastic can save around 80% CO2.

Our oil blendVISH OILis in a glass bottle. When this is empty, dispose of thecap in the yellow binand take thebottle to the used glass container.

We currently still offer our mineral powder ALL-IN-VELUXE in a composite can. In the long term, the aim is to switch to pure plastic packaging here too. However, as it is very important to ensure that the mineral powder is packaged in airtight and lightproof packaging, we are still researching the optimum solution. Minerals and vitamins are very sensitive and ultimately the quality standard has top priority for us.

However, we have increased the contents of the tin and thus improved the climate balance.

As you will have gathered, it is not only crucial that we as manufacturers consciously select the right packaging. It is also crucial to dispose of the packaging correctly after useso that it can be returned to the recycling cycle in the best possible way. And this is where you come in: on our products, we show you how to dispose of the packaging correctly after use. Because waste is more than just waste! There are still resources behind it that need to be used in the best possible way. Let's do this together!

We will continue to look for packaging for our products that reconciles sustainability and quality assurance . To this end, we are questioning existing concepts, developing and testing innovations such as our Tetra Pak.

A great alternative to disposal is upcycling. You can also make all kinds of great things from our empty packaging. Take a look at our YouTube channel and get inspired!
