Vegan dog cupcakes with tofu cream
Easter is just around the corner - the perfect opportunity to spoil your furry friend with a special treat! While we enjoy Easter cakes and festive pastries, your dog also deserves a festive treat that is not only delicious but also healthy. Our homemade dog cupcakes are moist, easily digestible and full of valuable ingredients. With our vegan recipe, you can give your dog a very special Easter that is guaranteed to be celebrated with shining eyes and happy wagging tails.
Our recipe for delicious cupcakes with topping
Our four-legged friends love to be spoiled too - and what could be better than homemade cupcakes? These vegan dog treats are not only healthy, but also very easy to prepare. To get you started right away, here are the ingredients for around six delicious dog cupcakes:
Ingredients for the batter
- 100 g oat flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar or organic baking powder (ATTENTION: Normal baking powder contains inorganic phosphorus)
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tbsp applesauce (unsweetened)
- 150 ml plant-based milk (e. g. B. Oats or soy)
- 1 tbsp linseed flour or crushed linseed, mixed in 3 tbsp hot water (= egg substitute)
- 1 tsp sunflower oil (optional)
Ingredients for the topping
- 100 g tofu or silken tofu
- 1 tbsp plant-based yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1 tsp peanut butter (100 %, without additives)
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Some grated carrot as decoration (optional)
- VISH OIL
Bake your own cupcakes for dogs: it's so easy!
The dog cupcakes are ready in no time at all and can be prepared without much effort. Even if you're not a baking pro, you're guaranteed to succeed with this recipe. Simply follow our step-by-step instructions and conjure up a healthy treat for your furry friend in no time:
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top/bottom heat) and prepare your muffin tins.
- Mix the oat flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- Mash the banana and add it to the flour mixture along with the applesauce, plant-based milk and the egg substitute. Stir well and add the sunflower oil.
- Divide the finished batter evenly between the muffin cases and bake the cupcakes for around 20-25 minutes. Test with a skewer to make sure they are baked through.
- While the cupcakes are cooling, mix the tofu, plant-based yoghurt, peanut butter and cinnamon into a creamy mixture.
- Once the cupcakes have cooled, garnish them with the tofu cream - preferably using a piping bag to create a nice shape.
- Garnish the cupcakes with grated carrot or a dog cookie. For the finishing touch, you can add a few drops of VISH OIL over the cupcakes.
