Hello, I'm Lou and I'm pleased to be able to tell you my story.

I was born in Bulgaria at the beginning of 2020. I spent the first few months there on the streets with my brother Buddy, living off leftovers and garbage.

Two nice ladies found us at Easter 2020 and gave us a temporary home. This is also where we met VEGDOG Finn , as he also moved in with us a short time later. We got on really well straight away!

Our foster home paid for his food and vaccinations themselves, as animal welfare is their top priority. They only accept donations to pay for food, harnesses and transportation costs. Incidentally, the three of us were given sensitive food because Finn got diarrhea from other food. But we liked it too! Anyway, everything is better than what we found on the street.

We were in the best and most loving hands there and are very grateful that we were looked after so well and given a second chance.

Buddy, Finn and I all found a family in Germany - even all in Augsburg at first! So we were able to remain friends. However, our departure to Germany was very delayed due to coronavirus, as the borders were closed.

But on July 19, 2020, the time had finally come: a couple brought Finn and me to Germany by car, fully vaccinated, chipped and with our passports - what a thrill! There I met my human: My Nadja! A new chapter in our lives began.

Nadja and I now live in Munich. But so do Finn and Annika, so we can still go for regular walks together - Finn and I think that's great!

I have to admit that I didn't make it easy for Nadja. I was very anxious, especially around men. Going for walks was also a challenge, as I was very scared of almost everything and ran away, even in the garden I couldn't be caught again.

I simply had great difficulty gaining trust. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell Nadja exactly what had happened to me on the street in my younger years.

But Nadja was sooo patient with me and after just a few months I was a new dog: curious and bright - just as a young dog should be. And Nadja and I have become a great team and I now trust her blindly!

My fear of people (even men!) has subsided and I now love being stroked and cuddled. Especially from Finn's mom Annika - I'm particularly fond of her! I'm so happy for Finn that he was as lucky as I was to find such a wonderful home!

Although the lockdown has brought some challenges for many people, it was great for me because Nadja was writing her Master's thesis during this time and we were able to be together day in, day out. As a result, we are simply inseparable today!

In spring 2021, I unfortunately developed very unpleasant skin problems. Everything itched and I scratched my front and back legs. Unfortunately, that didn't help, so I licked a lot. My skin became dry, red and bald. I'm sure you can imagine how unpleasant that was. And it looked stupid too.

Since it didn't get any better, Nadja had me examined by a vet. It was suspected that I had an allergy to grasses. Nadja was skeptical, however, as there was no improvement and the symptoms had not recurred in the previous year. So I was given tablets to relieve the itching. These did help. But as soon as Nadja stopped taking them, the symptoms returned.

A second visit to the vet revealed an allergy. I was therefore given an allergy injection and the vet recommended switching to food for allergy sufferers. So Nadja tried one of these foods.

However, through contact with Annika, who is responsible for the cool design at VEGDOG , Nadja came across the GREEN CRUNCH and I just love it. It's irresistible, especially with a dash of oat milk!

Nadja assumes that the food plays a very important role. Because as soon as I eat something else, I immediately start licking again and the red spots come back.
That's why Nadja has now ordered the GREEN CRUNCH for all the households I stay in, so that I can eat anywhere without complaints. Isn't she great?

By the way, I also love the BEEVYS and JERKEYS - they smell amazing. I always go crazy and almost bite Nadja's fingers off. Accidentally of course!

How jealous I am of Finn that he's at the source and always gets to test new products - who knows, maybe I'll get to one day?

Nadja would also like to say something:

"Lou can now continue to develop without any complaints thanks to the great food. I love her very much and she enriches every day. It was absolutely the right decision to adopt her! I can only recommend it to anyone and everyone."
