For a long time it was said that vegan and cat don't go together - we wanted to prove the opposite. And we started with the VEGCAT PURE BITES: they are the snack for all cats (and cat people) who want to combine responsibility, health and taste.
We combine science, taste and attitude - with a portion of cat attitude and an even larger portion of innovation. Our PURE BITES are not an off-the-shelf snack, but a small revolution with fermentation protein.
The VEGCAT PURE BITES are functional, hypoallergenic and equipped with all the important snack properties - including taurine.
We obtain the fermentation protein for our VEGCAT Pure Bites from Microharvest. In one study, 51% of cats consumed the product, while only 34% of the other products tested were accepted (p=0.009). In addition, in most cases cats responded to Microharvest product first and ate it first. According to pet owners, 75% of cats consumed the product at normal or higher levels.
In short, there are still no studies on a 100% vegan cat diet, so it is not yet possible to say how it might be possible. The history of dogs shows that it can be possible. Here it was also considered impossible until science showed that it is possible. That's why we are starting with snacks and are already showing that it tastes good, is tolerated and opens the door to more knowledge about vegan cat nutrition.
