Spring is the best time of year to shake off the winter doldrums and get your pets fit for spring with our delicious May punch.

It's blooming and sprouting everywhere - so get out into the forest and into the fields! Together with your dogs, you can enjoy the first power fruits such as z.BStrawberries and fresh wild herbs. Please make sure to collect them in unpolluted areas, never directly next to fertilized fields or busy roads.

Young, tender nettle leaves have the highest nutrient content and taste nutty. IMPORTANT: Please use gloves when picking and break the stinging hairs before eating. You can do this by placing the leaves between a kitchen towel and rolling them back and forth vigorously with a rolling pin.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp VEGDOG SENSIBELCHEN No1
  • 1/2 beetroot
  • 1/2 apple with skin
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 1/2 handful of young, tender nettle leaves
  • 1 cup of water

Please make sure all ingredients are organic!

Erdbeeren: The red power berries contain lots of vitamins, fiber, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants.
Apples: Are particularly easy on the stomach and high in fiber. The natural sweetness makes the May punch really tasty.
Stinging nettle: This super plant is rich in vitamin C, provitamin A, magnesium and iron. Nettle leaves have a toning, blood-purifying and blood-forming effect and really get the metabolism going.
Beetroot: Is rich in iron and contains u.a. Magnesium, calcium, potassium and B vitamins. ATTENTION:Contains a high proportion of oxalates. Please do not feed to dogs that are susceptible to kidney and bladder stones.

Preparation

Crush the apple, beet and young nettle leaves and then blend together with the other ingredients in a blender until creamy. If the smoothie is still too mushy, slowly add a little more water and blend until the consistency is optimal.

Tip: Tastes pretty tasty even for dogs without VEGDOG sensitivity! 😉

We wish you and your favorite four-legged friends a fit start to spring!
