Why these ingredients are so good

At VEGDOG we always make sure that each ingredient offers real added value for your dog:

Tofu, lentils and chickpeas provide valuable plant-based protein and essential amino acids - important for muscles and energy. They also provide fiber for your dog's microbiome and nutrients such as iron.

Banana is rich in potassium, an essential mineral for the heart, and also provides a little natural sweetness.

Carrot provides beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A - important for the eyes, skin and mucous membranes.

Our VISH Oil provides essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA.

Finally, our All-In Veluxe completes the ration: it contains all the vitamins, minerals and trace elements your dog needs every day to ensure optimal nutrition.

How to prepare the meal

  1. Cook the lentils and chickpeas according to the package instructions until soft and allow to cool slightly. The cooking time should be significantly longer than for humans. Ideally until they start to fall apart and form a "mush". Alternatively, you can also use ready-made canned meat.
  2. Blend or puree chickpeas and lentils in a blender. This makes them much easier to digest.
  3. Finely grate or puree courgette, carrot and banana .
  4. Dice or crumble the tofu and add to
  5. mix everything thoroughly in a bowl.
  6. Finally, stir in VISH Oil and All-In Veluxe - done!

💡 Tip: You can pre-cook larger quantities and store them in the fridge for 2-3 days
Note that chickpeas and other pulses such as lentils must never be fed raw. The substance phasin causes the red blood cells to clump together. Uncooked, this can cause serious bleeding.

When feeding vegetables, the following applies: What you eat raw as a human can also be given raw to your dog. Anything you have to cook yourself should also be cooked for your dog. For example, you may feed raw:

carrots, cucumber, lettuce, zucchini, kohlrabi, pumpkin,...

Should be cooked:

corn, fennel, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, pulses, potatoes,...

This plant-based meal shows how easy it is to feed dogs a needs-covering* vegan diet - with ingredients that are nutrient-rich and good for the environment.

Tofu, pulses and fresh vegetables provide a balanced supply of protein, vitamins and minerals, while VISH Oil and All-In Veluxe complete the recipe.

How to feed your dog consciously, sustainably and lovingly - according to the VEGDOGphilosophy. Exactly how much does your dog need? Here is a short guide on how to calculate the correct amount:

The calculation of the amount is based on the different weight classes. A small dog needs z.B. more than a large dog in relation to its body weight. Always use the amount of the highest weight class we have specified as a guide. If your dog z.B. 6 kg, you use the weight class for 10 kg as a guide. If your dog weighs 32 kg, for example, you should use the weight class for 25 kg, as this is the highest weight class we have specified.

Here is an example calculation for you, if your dog z.B. 32kg:

  • The highest specified weight class is 25kg, so this is your required reference quantity.
  • A 25kg dog needs 100g chickpeas daily.
  • Ratio: 100g chickpeas for 25 kg dog à divide by 25 to get the amount for 1 kg dog à 100/25 = 4g chickpeas per kg body weight.
  • Now multiply by the weight of your dog à A 32kg dog à 4g x 32 = 128g chickpeas/day.
  • You do this calculation with all the ingredients. I hope we were able to help you.

We wish you bon appétit!
